Hello,

My name is Alex and I am living in Barcelona for more than 9 years now. I have worked as many things (waiter, translator, web designer, photo-shop teacher, help-desk analyst, etc.), but it looks like my path is going in the Technical Consultancy direction.

I have been working with computers for about 20 years now. I started playing with an old and big IBM machine. A big, big box like the one on the picture, with another big box on top, which was a hard drive. On that machine I started playing with BASIC. From that I have always been interested by almost every aspect of computers. Operating Systems, Graphical Design, Networks, Internet, and so on.

Currently I am working for Computacenter Iberia, where I am a Technical Leader. A Technical Leader manages internal and external projects, gives technical advise and builds solutions for both internal and external customers.

Lately at work, I have been working on projects like:

- Different Lotus Domino application design projects (Quality Measurement tools, Workflows, etc)

- Planning Software Implementation

- Knowledge Management

While at home, I have been busy with things like:

- Working with my Fon DD-WRT router

- Exploring possibilities of my eee pc 4g

- Building small tools, like the live football betting excel sheet

And currently I am studying for the MCTS .NET Framework Web applications certification.

On this blog, I will try to give an idea on all these things I am currently working on, at work and my private projects.
